This morning it was time to bring Vera home from doggie camp. The staff handed Bob a “report card” for her visit, and she was a very good girl. Evidently she plays well with others. hahahaha! The pet accommodations are top notch, and the staff seems caring and fun.

Susan and Frank departed for parts north, and we spent most of the day lounging in our campsite. Ft. Wilderness is so well set up that I could catch up on a little laundry and still be within sight of the Airstream. Apparently a beautiful sunny day is the best time to wash clothes, as I had the place entirely to myself. Bliss for a laundry queen!

We caught the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge for dinner at Artist Point, a fine dining restaurant with a bit of a dress code, which means no LA cap for Bob. It’s rare that he will agree to have a meal where he can’t wear his ball cap, but he made an exception this time. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful and the food was delicious, although the service was only average.

For our return boat trip to Ft. Wilderness, we had the entire boat to ourselves. Bob joked that he had paid extra for the (free) romantic cruise across the lake.
