Bob and I were both so excited to get up early and take the walking tour of AuSable Chasm. The cost is about $30 each, including a raft ride at the end. That’s the least expensive option, and they offer Adventure tours for the really brave…but that would NOT be me.

Bob wouldn’t even pony up an extra quarter for me to peek through the binoculars. He said the view was nice. Ugh.

The “Elephant’s Head”, as seen from across the chasm

You can tell I was getting braver as the day went on…I stopped long enough to take off my raincoat.

My irreverent husband, breaking the rules again!

I piled a few stones together and took a panoramic shot of other Inukshuk figures

A raft like the one we rode, and some “Adventurers” rappelling

A genuine Adirondack Lean-To

And the chasm ends as abruptly as it begins!
Welcome to my backyard! Enjoy all that the Adirondacks has to offer. On your way back, check out Letchworth State Park, South of Rochester. It’s called the Grand Canyon of the East. Enjoy.
