Our neighbor was checking out this morning and brought us her flowers! She asked if I had a vase for them, and I immediately said YES, when in all truth I meant to say NO. So I did the camper thing and improvised. Purty cute, ain’t it?
We spent time strolling through Harbor Springs and Petoskey today. Those two towns are gorgeous any day of the year, but today was especially beautiful, with bright blue skies and puffy white clouds, a nice breeze and mild temperatures. It’s so great to spend some summer days without any humidity!
In the afternoon, we stopped at Bar Harbor, where Bob met Tom one night in 1980. Tom came into the bar when Bob was tending bar, they struck up a conversation about radio, and the rest, as they say….hahaha
We also drove to the radio station where they got their start.
We did some souvenir shopping
Bob and Whit made a couple of silly Vine videos at a beautiful park along the shores of Lake Michigan.
At Bay Harbour we happened to see two spectacularly beautiful boats, docked alongside the many other yachts. It is so fun trying to imagine who the owners might be.
Later that evening we had a truly successful pie iron attempt — apple pies with caramels
