Rainy day, so no adventurin’ for us. Unless you call hanging out in the June Bug an adventure. We sure do!

Our rainy day set-up…lots of reading to catch up on!
During a rare break in the rain, we thought we’d hazard a nice walk with the pup. We got to the end of our lane and the skies opened up! Lucky for me, I had just dried my hair! Dang it!

Even the geese were heading back to shelter!

Camping is very glamorous, don’t you think?
So it was back to the June Bug for us.

How much coffee can one couple drink?!
The rain finally let up for a good long time, so we were able to walk Vera and enjoy some really pretty views of the lake. I came across a self-professed “Grandma who never grew up” who was creating giant bubbles from a contraption her son made for her. Some of the bubbles were over 30 feet long!
During the day long rain, I worried that I wouldn’t be able to “get in my steps” for my Fitbit. My goal is (usually) 12,000 steps and I had very little hope of accomplishing that since I was NOT ABOUT to walk in the pouring rain! But lo, and behold, I logged over 13,000 steps just walking around this enormous campground! So that was a real bright spot in the cloudy day.

I walked around the campground looking for alternative views of our campsite.

Vera knows her little adventure is drawing to a close!
