Our schedule at this point gave us two options…I had reserved 2 nights at Lake Erie with an option to stay only one night and instead continue east into the Adirondacks sooner. We decided to press on. We stayed at Cayuga Lake State Park near Seneca Falls, NY. My review? Not great. The campground is old and dated feeling, the campsites are bunched together in an unfortunate layout that offers no privacy, and they’re not near the lake. This park won’t be on my list for return visits, although staff member Elizabeth was cheerful and excellent and was even a Bob & Tom fan. She drove her husband over to our campsite to meet Bob and shake hands.
Because the campsite wasn’t pleasant for sitting outside, we popped some corn and watched a little TV via Bob’s AppleTV hookup.
I fully agree with your review of the park. It needs some work. Thank you for the honorable mention I’m glad I could be a bright spot on a dreary stay.
Have you ever traveled the Lake Ontario state parkway? The road is bit rough but there are some beautiful views of lake Ontario and several camp grounds.
See my comment below. I forgot to hit “reply” to you! haha
We are on Lake Ontario tonight! We’re staying at Four Mile Creek. It is just beautiful, and the sunset was spectacular.
Four Mile Creek is nice park.
I love the sunset over the lake. We recently stayed at Golden Hill state park. My husband teased me about taking “action shots” of sunset. But how else am I supposed to get the best pic! Lol
